We're excited to celebrate the 13th annual Patient and Family Centred Care Week at ACH from November 18th to 22nd. This year's theme is Connecting Through Shared Commitments. Shared Commitments was launched earlier this year by AHS. The Shared Commitments aim is to improve the healthcare experiences of Albertans by engaging them in their care and helping healthcare providers build strong and trusting relationships with them.

We have lots of activities planned for the site. Get involved in the celebration, the energy, and the fun! Please contact the PFCC Team if you have questions about the week's activities.

Patients and Families

We invite you to recognize staff, physicians, and volunteers at the Alberta Children's Hospital (ACH)* for the difference they've made in your healthcare journey. Please tell us about a staff member(s) who has gone above and beyond to build a strong relationship with you and your family.

All nominees will receive a certificate and button and will be honoured at the PFCC Week Celebration.

A choir from the New West Symphony & Chorus will be entertaining us at and then everyone is invited to enjoy a piece of cake to get the week started.

While you are there (and throughout the rest of the week), take in our displays and activities and learn about the shared commitments that most frequently impact the healthcare experience of patients and their families. Activities include:

• Crafts
• Photo station
• Add a speech bubble (enter to win Market Mall gift card)
• Voting for the Team Challenge

Join us for the PFCC Week wrap-up on Friday, November 22nd from 12:00pm - 1:00pm. Refreshments will be served.

At 12:15pm we will have a short program at which we will hear a patient/family story, acknowledge the Staff Champions that were recognized by patients and families, and find out the winners of the PFCC Week Team Challenge.
