December 2021 Edition
Seasonal Activity Sheets for Food Trays
This holiday season, the food trays on ACH inpatient units have been brightened with seasonal activity sheets for all ages.
‌
‌
The sheets were created by the Patient and Family Centred Care team in collaboration with the Child and Youth Advisory Council (CAYAC) and Patient and Food Services. CAYAC came up with many of the ideas on the sheets and two of the members, Ashley and Shannon, worked on the final product.
Winter Solace Concerts
Winter Solace is a series of free virtual concerts featuring local professional musicians for patients, families, AHS staff, physicians, and volunteers, and community members. The series will include 10-20 virtual concerts on Friday evenings over winter 2021/2022. Concerts run 6:30-7:15pm. The next one is on December 31st.

Patients, families, staff, physicians, and volunteers are invited to attend the virtual concerts, which will be livestreamed at www.WinterSolace.ca. Registration is not required.
The Face Behind the Mask
Patients and families like seeing the face behind the mask. Since the masks can't be removed, the next best thing is a button with a picture of the healthcare provider's face.

You'll see these buttons on some of the NICU, Environmental Services, and Allied Health staff around the hospital. These teams worked with the PFCC team to make the buttons.

Interested in getting buttons for your team? Please email us for more details.
