ADHD

ADHD or Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (formerly ADD) is a neurological (something to do with the nervous system) condition which makes it hard for people to think before acting and/or speaking, pay attention, stay focused, and to sit still. Kids Health estimates that 8-10% of school aged children are affected.

    The ADHD Kids Rock! website was created by a 15-year-old youth with ADHD, living in Langley, BC who wanted to provide a resource for other youth who have ADHD. This website has a youth forum and blog and is geared directly to youth with ADHD.

  • CADDAC

    CADDAC or the Centre for ADHD Awareness Canada is a national, non-profit, umbrella organization providing leadership in education and advocacy for ADHD organizations and individuals across Canada. Their website is full of information about ADHD for children, teenagers, and adults which CADDAC hopes will support those affected by ADHD.

  • CADDRA

    The Canadian ADHD Resource Alliance or CADDRA is non-profit multi-disciplinary alliance of healthcare professionals working to support individuals with ADHD and their families. Their vision states that they aim, 'to improve the quality of life and reduce the suffering of patients with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and their families while maximizing their potential across the lifespan.'
