Family Accommodation

At the Alberta Children's Hospital, we encourage parents or guardians to stay with their child at all times. All units, with the exception of the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) have bedside facilities so that one parent can sleep next to their child.

In addition, the hospital has rooms in the family accommodation area which is located in the Family Centre on the second floor of the hospital and can be accessed through a Family Support Specialist at 403-955-3272. The rooms cannot be reserved in advance but will be allocated on a daily basis based on priority. Unfortunately, these rooms cannot accommodate children or siblings.
